Before starting this brief I already had a history of using Adobe software as I used it throughout a work placement at a small local magazine and also for personal use and for my family's business. However, during the process of creating each aspect of this magazine I do believe my knowledge of Adobe software has increased quite a bit. For example, I believe my knowledge of using layers to the best of their ability has increased. I also improved my knowledge of finding and importing brushes onto my product to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

 





A completely new concept to me though was Blogger which I had never used before this brief, but I believe that I have used it to the best of my ability and showcased my work in a theme which mimics the house style of my music magazine (white, black and white and also a similar font). I enjoyed working on Blogger as it made my work interesting to look at and also made doing the actual work more interesting than if I was writing it with a pen and paper. A disadvantage to this technology however was if the internet ever stopped working or the site crashed meaning I'd be unable to access my work, or potentially lose it. To ensure that I never lost my work I made sure to back it all up on a USB stick.









In order to take my photographs, I used my new Sony a350 camera. I'd only recently gotten the camera when I began creating my final product, so it was still fairly confusing to use, so through taking my photographs using this I gained a better knowledge and understanding of the camera.









Another new concept to me was www.wix.com, which I have used in order to create this website for my evaluation. I'd never even heard of the website until a couple of minutes before starting my evaluation, but I believed showcasing my evaluation on a website would make the experience more exciting than boring, plain posts on my Blogger. I believe that I've successfully used Wix to the best of my ability and knowledge, as I've only had a week to get to know the site and familiarise myself with the different features.
